CLOSET CLEANOUTS

Service Terms

These terms apply when you request a cleanout from Closet Cleanouts. Please review them before booking and before handing over any items.

Our service

We offer free bagged pickup and in-home bagging of selected clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories in our listed service areas. We do not clean or organize closets or provide general household or furniture removal.

Requests and appointments

Your preferred date is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We will contact you to confirm availability, access and the scope of your cleanout. If you need to change or cancel, reply to your appointment correspondence as soon as possible.

What we accept

Items must be new or gently used, clean, in good condition, and free of stains, tears and strong odors. We may decline unsuitable items or work that cannot be completed safely. Tell us about stairs, parking and access restrictions before the visit.

You choose what goes

You must be at least 18 and own the items or have the owner’s permission to release them. Identify only the items you want removed. Check pockets and bags, and set aside money, documents, jewelry and anything you want to keep. For in-home service, you must have permission to let us enter and identify the items for collection.

Ownership and payment

Booking alone does not transfer ownership. Ownership of the items you authorize us to take transfers to Closet Cleanouts when we collect them. There is no payment, consignment arrangement or share of proceeds. Once collected, items may be processed or passed along promptly, so we cannot promise to recover or return them.

What happens next

We sort collected items for resale, donation, recycling or disposal as appropriate. We do not guarantee a particular destination or recipient. Our service is not a direct charitable donation by you, and we do not provide charitable tax receipts. Our People, Pets, Planet giving program is a future goal, not a contribution promised with your cleanout.

Questions or concerns

Raise any questions before collection. For an existing appointment or a concern after a visit, reply to your appointment correspondence and include your booking reference if available. These terms do not waive rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

Updates

The terms you accept apply to that booking request. Any proposed material change to an existing request will be communicated before collection. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date for future requests.
